    We stayed in one of the cottages, which was nice but not amazing. We didn't use the spa as there was a charge of £65!! Very disappointing!! Poor choice for vegetarians at the pricey restaurants so self catered. There was a £25 breakfast credit which you use at the market shop. Most items were not priced, so you didn't know how much your choices were until you got to the till, where items were not able to be scanned but had to be individually typed in, in order for the shop assistant to get a price. The process was very slow, inefficient and definitely not 5*. The kitchen plinths fell down if your foot touched them, the fridge made an unpleasant squeak every time we opened it, noticeable chip on coffee table and on ensuite basin. On checking out, we explained the issues to a member of staff, who said it was not good but didn't offer an explanation or offer any redress. Not impressed with the lack of good customer service. We would not recommend it.

    Stayed at hotel in February this year so decided to go back as it was fantastic. Only room we could get was a cottage when we arrived we were told by reception that with cottage’s there is an extra charge for spa and breakfast is a voucher to spend in the shop ! Not as described I pointed this out and the staff were amazing at sorting this out . Things have changed since February you only now get 4 hrs a day in spa in one go so you couldn't go in the morning then at night and the breakfast has changed if you want any extras like smashed avocado on toast etc which used to be included is now payable. Not sure if management has changed or just cutting costs but need to be careful as there is plenty of golf resorts out there .
