    We were coming to Paris from Disneyland Paris and wanted a good hotel for 3 nights near to the Gare de Lyon station where the train would drop us. The Novotel fit the bill. Not too expensive but not cheap either. It's right next to a metro station too so it's a good location as a base to explore Paris. Unfortunately our first impression of the hotel was marred by poor reception staff telling us our room would be ready in 10 minutes but then forgetting about us for 40 minutes until I asked again then magically the room was available. The room was fine for our small family: basic, compact, but it had what we needed - except water. This was the first sign the hotel was cutting costs. No water in the rooms (unless you drink from the tap). There was a water fountain in reception where guests could fill their own containers. We also found ourselves begging for powdered milk to make our coffee too (no little real milk containers here). We were on the fifth floor and it was quiet at night. The air conditioning worked fine and the room was clean. The buffet breakfast was just OK with enough choice for us but nothing special. Overall the stay was OK with the main benefit for us being the location.

    Overall we stayed 4 nights in two types of rooms. First check in, the electricity not stable and off which was scared…. Staff refused to provide slippers and on last day of stay , I saw another staff provide to others…. Bedsheet with dirt in family room and sofa bed make the sound whole night when u moved yr body … we can’t sleep well … breakfast option are unexpectedly less… to be honest , I don’t understand why the reviews from others are so good ….

    I checked the reviews before I book this hotel… to be honest , I felt so disappointed… the electricity not stable … bedsheet has dirt…. Slippery was refused to provide on first few days but on last time i checked with another staff she provide to us…. Rooms are small and not expected is sofa beds and the sofa beds make the sound whole night if u turn yr body … overall I judge the truth of the reviews given by others

    I have booked for 4 nights actually - and asked for a mini fridge and microwave as my baby is small and we needed it for her meal - they have those facilities but for higher Room category - I was expecting a little flexibility considering my case - but over call they laughed (mocked ) that I won’t get it - I didn’t only feel not respected but at the same time understood it’s not worth my Money and I won’t be a repeat Customer - ultimately I had to stay as the booking was non refundable - I would strictly not recommend it for a couple with small child
