Arrived back home today after a wonderful 5 night stay at the Majestic Mirage Punta Cana, first time all inclusive, first time in the DR… travelled solo to attend a wedding so wasn’t completely a solo trip… my honest review? This place is beautiful, it has the right balance of quiet and entertainment, lots of beds and sun loungers over the beach area and alongside the two long river pools. Multiple places to snack, dine and drink. I pack light and wore everything I brought expect for one t-shirt, one cami and a long sleeved swim top… brought these in case I did an excursion or boat trip…. Things I considered taking but decided not to (and glad I didn’t)…. Snorkel set, heeled sandals, insulated cup (lots of ppl had these, I didn’t feel the need). Things I took (and very glad I did)…. Metal straws, towel bands, travel probiotics, plaster (got a blister the first day from sand rub🤦‍♀️), swim shoes for walking on the hot floor, hot sand and slippery bridges! Because I arrived around 23:00hrs I did not meet my butler…he messaged me the next day but I never actually met him nor needed him… restaurant reservations are easy to do… One thing that disappointed me however…. At check-in I was “upgraded” to a room with a rooftop bed and hot tub…! My paid for room was a one bed suite with a jacuzzi … the word “upgrade” led me to believe I was getting something better… instead I was put in the family building 1, and did not have a one bed suite! This happened to others in the wedding party… one couple were wise to it and refused…. Had I been staying longer I would’ve said something but I was hardly in the room anyway…. The spa is well worth a visit and the French restaurant is delicious! I tipped but definitely took too much cash…

It was more exceptional than expected. The entire staff is very nice and polite. Our Butler, was the greatest and went out of his way to make sure we had anything we needed. The food was great. And the overall of the resort was fantastic.

Great location…traveling with small children so there could have been more activities for them. Enjoyed the family club, huge resort that never felt crowded.
