My Daughter (16) and I visited RIU Bambu for a week including New Year’s. While there were some minor irritations, it was a nice enough place with very nice pools and an incredible beach. The service requests through the app didn’t always work, but the front desk ensured everything was taken care of once they were apprised. Food was hit-and-miss, but for an all-inclusive, not worth complaining about. Helpful notes: - Stop at a grocery store on the way in, because the restaurants are only open certain hours, and buying snacks at the stores on-resort is very expensive. - The closest ATM is at the casino in the adjacent resort. There is a shuttle that comes 3 times hourly, but it is best to ensure you bring enough cash to cover tips/incidentals beforehand. - There is no airport shuttle; an Uber or cab will be around $*** American each way. - Towels are only obtainable near the 2 pools closest to the lobby, so if you are staying further from the lobby but want to use the pool closest to you, you will still need to come close to the lobby to get towels. Other than that, it’s a pretty great place to unwind. Enjoy!
