LAMIYA Aparts Hotel

The hotel itself is nice and comfortable, but it is extremely difficult to find. There is no clear signboard for the hotel at all. We spent almost an hour asking people around and searching for the entrance. The hotel should at least have a clear signboard along the road so guests can easily locate it. For future guests: look for the “Kostyum.kz” men’s clothing shop. There is a car park ramp beside the shop. Go up the ramp and you will see several apartment buildings. Look for Apartment No. 1 (the sign is very small, so you may need to ask people nearby). The entrance door requires a password: enter 194 and press the “Call” button. The hotel is located on the 13th floor of the apartment building, so take the lift directly to the 13th floor. One more concern is the bathroom. The bathtub is quite high, making it difficult and potentially dangerous for elderly guests to get in and out. A safer and more accessible setup would be appreciated. Overall, the hotel is nice, but the lack of signage and the high bathtub are areas that should be improved.

Location is central, but it's not easy to find the place. The sign is hard to find & very small, there are 2 aisles to the elevator. Locked door., with no instructions on how to get in, no contact phone number. No instructions or contact details were sent prior to check-in. They should’ve put the receptionist down on the ground floor, not on the 13th floor. Receptionist had very little English. Room was so so, not super clean, no toilet paper.

Certainly the worst experience we have had in our experience of stayed and travelled to ~15 countries 1. They gave us check-in at 2pm when the stipulated time was 1230pm. Besides, the receptionist told us to NOT the bathroom as it was non-functional and would be repaired in the evening. He later offered another room in another building but no help to move the luggage. 2. They DONT provide remote control to manage AC temperature. So you have to call them to come and adjust temperature. RIDICULOUS! Isn't it. 3. On asking for blankets, there was no response for an hour and they later said that they had NO blankets to offer. 4. The Staff overall is extremely rude and disgusting. They are opposite of what hospitality stands for. 5. The receptionists do not care at all on what the guests request for. There is no room service. If you go to the reception and ask for basic toiletries, they make you wait forever. All in all - DO NOT stay in this place. There are many better options in Almaty city. This is the worst option you could opt for, to ruin your holiday!
