    We booked during the holiday weekend so we paid nore than we would have usually, but in comparison, it reasonable compared to similar properties nearby. The washroom on the main floor at the back could be better. It was only a small single stall, but it does not reflect what we experienced in our room. Even though our room was just a standard room, it was very spacious, well decorated and cozy with a separate sitting area. The bathroom was much bigger than typical hotel washrooms. Even though the hotel is a bit dated, it was super clean all around. You can tell they take pride in taking care of their space. Every staff member we interacted with were courteous and helpful. They even helped with with our luggage to our room and the taxi. We loved our stay at Kyoto Hotel and wish we could stay longer. The area is super convenient with lots of food choices around the corner and subway transit with 10 minutes walk.

    Stayed in this hotel for 4 nights while we tour Taipei. Although the hotel is slightly dated, it is VERY clean, spotless !! Located at the heart of Taipei where everywhere is convenient. Staff is excellent !! Most helpful. There's an Airport bus no 1961 that's 6 mins walking distance to Kyoto Hotel. That Airport bus stops in front of Regency Hotel. Very convenient 10 minutes walking distance to Owner/Manager is very helpful and very particular about cleaniless !! I would definitely choose this hotel again !!

    The room was clean, but the whole hallway and the room is full of smoking smell. Although no smoking sign is everywhere, but I believe ppl still do smoke in the room and it used to be somking allowed hotel and the whole AC system is full of the smoking smell as well. if you are looking for affordable living and you dont mind the smoking smell, you can give it a try
