For those seeking peace and the chance to literally wind down and relax, The Kalamota Beach House is simply wonderful.
With only ten bedrooms, all spacious and facing the sea, the Kalamota Beach House exudes tranquility and genuine warmth. Stylish and unpretentious, you'll be hard pressed to beat it. It's a little haven of understated charm . The staff are all extremely kind and polite - and carry out everything they do with genuine grace and professionalism.
The best way to arrive at the Kalamota Beach House is by private speed boat from Dubrovnik and it takes just 25 minutes. On arrival, the staff are all extremely attentive and you're immediately made to feel at home.
Though the owners and management could provide a few light touches in the way of improvements to the overall interior design, it nevertheless retains a very special charm of its own.
We stayed for 8 days and to be frank, we could easily have stayed another 8. The food was superb and the choices of wine and other drinks were all reasonably priced.
If you simply want to switch off, read and relax, Kalamota Beach House won't disappoint. It's a hidden gem that no sooner have you gone there, you'll be planning your return. Highly recommended.
