having stayed here numerous times, i cannot think of anywhere else with the combination of hotel service and bnb amenities... wont be staying anywhere else jn seoul for a long time

easy access to gimpo airport, incheon and airport, to seoul both gangbuk and gangnam

I travel frequently and understand the relationship between price, value, amenities, and service. I don’t expect budget hotels to provide a luxury experience, and I’ve given higher ratings to inexpensive hotels when they delivered good value. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. They spoke English, which helped offset my poor Korean. Check-in is strictly at 2:00 p.m., which seems common with many budget hotels in Korea. I reserved a Deluxe Room, which is slightly larger than the standard room, but the room was very outdated and poorly laid out. We stayed four nights and there was essentially nowhere to store folded clothes. Some items could be hung, but underwear, T-shirts, shorts, etc. had to remain in our suitcases the entire stay. There was plenty of unused space where they could easily add a small dresser, shelves, or even a simple bench. The bathroom was also awkward. It is a traditional Korean-style bathroom with the shower, toilet, and sink in one area. Although there is a shower curtain, water still splashes across the floor. Because the bathroom door swings outward, the bath mat has to stay inside and quickly becomes soaked. There were also no shelves for toiletries. My wife commented the mirror and area to put makeup and get ready had a small stool, but if you were to use the stool, you would not be able to walk by because you’re right in front of the bed. The bed was comfortable, which was a positive. My biggest issue was the air conditioning. I prefer a cool room, but the AC would sometimes not turn on or would appear to be running while only circulating air. When I asked the hotel, I was told they shut off the AC overnight and may not allow it to operate when the outside temperature is below about 70°F. Opening the window is not really a substitute. Without meaningful wind or another opening to create cross-ventilation, there may be very little airflow into the room. I understand this is a lower-priced hotel, but I’ve stayed at similarly priced properties that were much more functional and comfortable. The staff were very nice and the bed was comfortable, but the outdated room, lack of storage, awkward bathroom, and limited temperature control mean I would not stay here again.
