    I noticed that shower was really blocked on the first night and reported to reception. Raphael, who is the person behind the reception couldn’t tell me when it will be fixed. When the engineer eventually turned up for fixing the issue, it turns out that the drain was massively blocked by a big clump of hair. Nice and convenient location for Business Travel. Can do better with cleanliness.

    Location is superb, 2-5 mins walk from Wien Hbf (depending on the exit you used). Area is quiet and there’s a running spot too. Staff is friendly and accommodating! Love it

    I recently stayed at ibis Wien Hauptbahnhof, and overall it was a solid choice — especially for a short stay. The biggest advantage is the location right next to Vienna’s main train station, Wien Hauptbahnhof. If you’re arriving late, leaving early, or just passing through for one night, it’s incredibly convenient. You can step off the train and be at the hotel in minutes. However, it’s worth noting that while it’s perfect for transport links, it’s not within walking distance of Vienna’s main attractions. You’ll need public transport or a fairly long walk to reach the historic centre and sightseeing spots. The rooms are clean and functional, as you’d expect from Ibis. One downside is that there are no kettles or in-room tea/coffee facilities, which can be frustrating if you like a drink in your room. That said, the hotel does offer free tea and coffee in reception, which is a nice touch. Another small inconvenience is that there are no stairs accessible for guests, so you have to rely on the lifts. At busy times this means waiting around, which can get irritating. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were genuinely warm, welcoming, and extremely helpful throughout my stay — a refreshing change compared to some other places I’ve visited in the region. Overall, this hotel is ideal for a one-night stopover or short stay focused on convenience. For a longer Vienna trip where sightseeing is the priority, you might prefer something closer to the city centre.
