We had 3 nights at hotel Von and absolutely loved it. Perfect location with a grocery store right outside the entrance. It was located on the Main Street of Reykjavík. Very clean and comfortable room . The only thing is that if you have a car you will have to pay for street parking or public once since the hotel doesnt have one, but there was a public parking 2 min away walking. Other than that it was great.

The location and restaurant were nice, but the room fell short. The photos they show must be really old. Room was dusty on the shelves, cracked drywall and dingy tile joints, and major scuffs on the walls. The comforter cover was too short for the comforter! For what they charge, it should be better. I suggested it to my son before we stayed, as he was on a separate vacation to Iceland and he said it was “just okay.” Checking in and out was nice and quick (a plus). Even the dead plants outside the entrance speak to the neglect this hotel has endured.
