    We stayed at this hotel during our visit to Vienna, and while it had a few positives, several aspects of our experience left much to be desired. Noise was the biggest issue. The floorboards were very creaky—likely a common problem with hotels in older Vienna buildings—and even walking lightly could easily wake others up. The fridge in our room was also quite loud, especially when its motor automatically switched on and off. On top of that, every time we turned on the tap or used the shower, a loud pumping noise echoed from the walls, not only in our room but seemingly from adjacent rooms as well. These constant disturbances made it hard to get proper rest. Unfortunately, the rooms do not have a safe box, which added another layer of inconvenience, especially when carrying valuables or travel documents. Another practical issue: there are about 10 stairs between the ground level and the lift, which makes it quite challenging for anyone carrying large or heavy suitcases. It’s something to be aware of if accessibility or mobility is a concern. On the plus side, the hotel offers 24-hour staff availability to open the door to the shared lounge on level 1, where free tea and coffee are available. However, having a kettle and some basic tea/coffee facilities in the room would be far more convenient and wouldn’t cost the hotel much to implement. Our room itself was spacious and had a lovely view overlooking the beautiful architecture of Vienna. The breakfast was modest but adequate. One standout from our stay was Behrouz, who we met each morning. His hospitality was second to none. He was always friendly, smiling, and eager to help with tips and recommendations. It was clear he genuinely cared about the guests’ comfort, and he’s definitely a shining asset to the hotel.
