    The Hotel is located in Gamla, old town and yet we don't need to walk down to the main street for a taxi. Room is spacious and comfortable bed (no fridge), however breakfast is good

    We were initially assigned a room that was one down from the deluxe that we had paid for. Once that was sorted out., which required taking all our luggage down some stairs and into a tiny lift, then storing it until our room was ready, everything went more smoothly. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful in sorting it out. And I think we were actually then upgraded. The breakfast room is more like an underground cage and there is a lot of manoeuvering to get food and find a table as it is a series of with narrow openings. It’s quite a place.,but not quite in a good way. A bit claustrophobic. As everyone else says, the location is amazing for the old part of Stockholm, and getting to ferries etc. Overall a pleasant interesting Hotel, but if you are staying more than one night like we were, I would definitely pay for an upgrade as I cannot imagine what the rooms on the lower floors, facing the building next-door were like.

    My family and I had a fantastic stay at Hotel Gala Stan! The breakfast was incredible and you can't beat the location! The staff was all very kind and helpful! We loved the gym too! We loved our time at this hotel!
