The Hotel Forum is a bit of a miracle. Pompeii as a town is pretty much a small Italian town, but in the Hotel Forum, you enter a little refuge from the traffic and crowds that visit the Archeological Park just across the street. The hotel features a lovey and expansive lemon grove patio. Very green, well tended and serviced to bring you snacks, drinks and meals. A very romantic setting, I must say. Overall, an exceptional experience. Breakfast is good, fresh coffee/capuchino/late/Americano brought to your table, helpful and friendly waitstaff. The rooms are thoughtfully designed- a REAL shower, not a closet with water. Plenty of hooks and horizontal surfaces to set your gear. Clean. Staff at the front desk are very efficient and helpful. If you take a tour of the ruins from an organized group, you can walk to the western gate in 10 min or so and finish your tour at the exit just across the street from the hotel. Nearby restaurants offer a range of foods - we ate locally and in the downtown plaza (great!) and were always pleased by the service and the foods flavor and presentation. I would definitely go back to this hotel. No hesitation.

This hotel features a lovely older building with a beautiful courtyard, above average breakfast, and great location for touring the ruins. The room we stayed in needed updating, but was clean. WiFi was weak and the charging capacity for electronic devices needs updating. Staff was friendly and helpful. Free parking nearby a huge plus.

Excellent food, wonderful garden setting, clean even with construction in front of the facility. I would definitely stay here again.
