We like to stay in the St. Germain des Pres area. This hotel in is right in the heart of it! The hotel was nice, clean and typically Parisian with small rooms. The staff was nice. I would recommend a stay here.

Our stay in Crystal Hotel was great! Apart from being affordable, it is a clean hotel & has friendly staff. The hotel is not that big. The rooms are decent size though. The elevator on the other hand is tight but it works for its purpose. The most important thing that we very much liked about this hotel is, it's location! It is located at the heart of Saint German Des Pres. It is very close to Rye du buci, where restaurants are. On the same street you'll find cafe du Flore (look it up and you'll know why its famous). The metro is close by and it connects you to all of the major attractions in Paris in minutes. Anyway, I hope you will enjoy your stay, like we did should you decide to go there. I highly recommend this hotel!

This location is awesome, close to everything, great cafes, bars, etc. all nearby. The staff at this hotel are all so wonderful and willing to go above and beyond to help. We really enjoyed our stay. One thing to note, the rooms are noisy, you can hear everything - the room next to you, above you, etc. The garbage trucks outside in the morning are also quite loud. On friday evening we were woken up by people in the streets partying and screaming and on Saturday, the music was so loud (appeared to be next door) that it was impossible to get any rest. Like, the walls were shaking type of loud. It was not from within the hotel, it was either a bar or something nearby. We left at 6am and people were walking out with drinks and cigarettes and the music was still blaring. It was a shame too, because this hotel is awesome, I wish they would have some rules in place for outside noise...

I know most hotels in Paris offer abysmal value for money, but this felt worse than most. 270 euros per night including city tax bought a very tiny room (206) with a miniscule toilet and a fairly small bathroom. Maid service was poor: on one day there was none at all, on another the fixed shampoo and Kleenex had run out and were not replaced, and after another night dirty towels were not replaced. Despite me asking reception for this to be done, which was confirmed. A gloomy internal view made the room even less attractive, however the air con worked well if you stood near the fan - ideal when it was 39°C outside. The front desk person in charged seemed professional, but overall this did not feel like a well-run hotel, and despite the excellent location right next to Les Deux Magots café in Paris 6eme I will not return and cannot recommend.
