I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Berchielli and would definitely recommend it for a visit to Florence. The location is fantastic — right on the Arno and just a short walk from Ponte Vecchio and many of Florence’s main attractions. It was the perfect base for exploring the city on foot, while still feeling peaceful and comfortable when returning after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel has a beautiful, elegant, traditional Florentine charm, and the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. I travelled solo and felt very comfortable here. I absolutely loved my time in Florence, and Hotel Berchielli was a lovely part of the experience. I would happily stay here again! I will definitely be back!

How pleased I was to stay at this traditional Florentine hotel. Staff with personality and charisma whilst also good at what they do. Traditional values. Amazing location. Breakfast was something else. One of the best morning buffets I have seen in a long time. Again the staff were just great. What a great start to the day made by Paolo G? who was our waiter and made us a great coffee which made us smile The rooms are befitting of a hotel of such age and style

Overall for the price we booked using a 3rd party the hotel was just okay. What we liked most was the location as it is conveniently located in Florence and we could easily stop in to use the restroom or drop off shopping bags. Where we were most disappointed was the front desk lack of hospitality and the room conditions. The bartenders and bell boy were very nice but check in and check out felt uncomfortable as the reception staff was not friendly and short with us as if we were bothering them. The AC in the room was abysmal and made it hard to sleep. Additionally the mattress was extremely uncomfortable, hard and thin. The pillows were comical, basically a flat pad like if you folded a towel and put a pillow case on it. So good sleep was hard to get but after walking all day you manage. Maybe the higher tier rooms are better but based on the lack of hospitality from the front desk I would not return to find out.
