Tornabuoni Place

0ur third time staying here. Unusual to find such a large spacious room. The position is fantastic.

The entry lobby needs a smarten up. We advised our arrival would be slightly early but although being told no problem and given a code to enter the establishment, we had to wait in the hallway for 20 minutes for someone to do checkin. This was extremely fast, before he left the premises, and although we had been there before, we were not given info about leaving luggage in common parts or the door code. Hovever this was done with a phone call.

It is well located in the city centre. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable

The location was great and we had a very nice balcony to sit on and enjoy a glass of wine.

The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. It was also nice and quiet at night. Nice to have a kettle and coffee maker and the small table and chairs were perfect for us.

During our stay there was a fire alarm. An announcement on a loudspeaker said to vacate the building quickly, using the staircase. At the same time there was a power cut. There were no emergency lights inside the hotel. The front door of the property can only be opened with a key from the inside. With no electricity there was no light. It was hard to find our keys and we had to use our phones to find our way to the main door, and put our key in the lock to open the door to make an emergency exit. We would have been trapped inside the building if we had not found our key - and we only had one set! What if one of us had left and had the key to get back inside? The remaining person would have been trapped inside.
