We stayed here a couple of times before and mainly chose this hotel because it was close to the new year fireworks and it was really good value. Nevertheless, this would be the last time we will be there. Rooms were filthy at check in, dust behind the curtains, stained lampshades, missing towels, bad toilet. We found a nice housekeeping lady next morning down the corridor and paid her a tip to clean our room properly. On the last day, the room was not cleaned at all but by that time and after 7 days, we were no longer bothered. Check In was cold, completely missing the Ohana feeling. We were not given a check In bag although the other guests received it. The room type given was wrong and they couldn’t accommodate us because they were fully booked over the holidays. We stayed at other Hilton properties at Maui and Los Angeles prior to this one and this fared the worst despite the prices being relatively similar at all three properties. Good side is - parking is always easy to find. And as it was at the beginning of the strip, we were out and in of Waikiki easily. They offer good happy hour food daily by the pool.
