    Terrible experience at this hotel. The hotel room does not look anything like it does in the pictures. It was tiny, and extremely dirty, had black mold in many spots, the bathtub was filthy and the worst part was how dirty the air conditioner was. It was clearly not maintained and was filled with dust. We landed up paying extra to change to another room which is ridiculous in my opinion. The staff were not very helpful and they came knocking on our door at 10:11 when we were packing to check out and said they would charge us extra if we stayed past 10:30. We paid a lot for this hotel and this was such a horrible experience. 100% would not recommend this.

    Place was soooo damn small and not fair for 3 people. We could barely move around and put our bags. You could only walk in and walk out. There were steps unnecessarily in the room which made us all especially my elderly mother trip few times. So unreasonable, looks like a scam. The pictures show one thing but reality is far from how it was portrayed. HORRIBLE ๐Ÿ˜ตโ€๐Ÿ’ซ

    If you find it on sale might be worth it, great location near a nice super market. the staff are pretty dry compared to other hotels in Kyoto, but some were kind and hospitable. The bed set up is weird and not comfortable. Their bathtub has a yellow- ish shadow, because they donโ€™t clean it properly but want to claim itโ€™s just old and making up other odd excuses, instead of focusing on fixing it. (If you scrub it, it does come off). After asking them to clean it properly twice, and one staff getting only half of the job done I gave up, and focused on the fact they had a good rate and great location. In general it was a bit like I was in Japanese junior high school with many strict rules/ systems. There is ONE welcome drink regardless of how many nights you stay, NO free water station.
