First, there are 2 Country Inn and Suites in Rochester, MN. This is the cheaper, north side location. I made an honest mistake and did not realize there were 2 options in the area and accidentally booked this north side location for my trip to Mayo Clinic. The resons I booked this hotel was for the location (as I thought this was the Country Inn on the south side of town) and for a pool and hot tub that were advertised open until midnight as we'd be arriving in the later evening. I reached out to Agoda in hopes that there would be some understanding and flexibility regarding my understandable mistake. I even said I would stay with the same brand and even pay more, but really wanted to be on the south side, as I had thought I had booked. Agoda reached out to the north side location and spoke with George. Instead of understanding that medical trips to this town are already stressful and that mistakes do happen and offering to work with a frustrated and concerned customer, he choose to be non-negotiable regarding our reservation. So, we were stuck spending the night at this poorly reviewed Country Inn on the far north side of town whose pool and hot tub area has been shut down by the health department since the end of June 2025 due to health and safety reasons. I know policies are in place for a reason, however, I also know there is flexibility regarding policies when management deems allowable. So we stayed at the north side location, since we could not afford to forfeit our reservation money. This location feels uncared for and leaves many opportunities to improve. The pool area is completely closed since June. If I had to post a health risk sign on my pool, I'd get that fixed ASAP, as it is a HUGE DETERRENT upon entering. There is nothing in their vending machine, it was empty. Either remove it or fill it. Carpets were worn and tired. We received 3 tiny pillows for 1 king size bed. Country Inn and Suites used to be beautiful, but this location needs some hardcore detailing and love. I would not recommend and their lack of understanding regarding their customer base is off putting. I wish I could leave a better review, but this is my honest perspective.

Checked out on Dec 23rd of the same room we rented again got the same room it was still dirty from us the pervious stay there was hair on the bathroom floor and a dirty towel hanging on the bathroom door, they also advertised a pool and hot tub the don't have either of them and haven't had them since covid
