Castle Oaks is in a lovely location, wonderful grounds.
The house itself is more historic than modern and that is charming. The room was lovely, clean and tidy and exceptional value for money.
My experience of the staff was mixed. Some were welcoming and helpful, while others seemed less engaged.
The main reception area also felt somewhat untidy during my stay, which didn't create the best first impression and in the case that it was unattended, which it was on occasion , it would have been relatively easy for someone to access room keys.
While I experienced no problems, it did leave me feeling less secure than I would have liked as a guest.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning because of the location, atmosphere and value, but I think there is room for improvement in both presentation and security procedures..

Amazing place, amazing food and the best staff

No air conditioning this was understandable as its a old hotel.
However we couldn't open the window as there was a ventilation vent just outside window and the noise was very loud.
It was running all night so didn't get much sleep.
