The hotel was reasonably priced during the time I stayed. The rooms were clean and looked just like the pictures. The staff was nice. Great location walking distance to a mall and a food hall. I would definitely stay again.

This hotel is quiet, it’s in the nucleus of Carlsbad. Close to restaurants, and the ocean. The staff is warm and friendly. This is our go-to hotel when we visit Carlsbad. The only downside that we noticed was the mattress was akin to caramel on cold evening this time around.

It was surprisingly a nice hotel and clean. However, there are steps so if you have problems walking stairs, request a room downstairs. There is a lot of road noise. BTW, the lobby was just a room as a makeshift lobby. It also did not have the big snack area as advertised in the pictures. It was just a few shelves and a small refrigerated area that really needed to be stocked. One thing is that they discontinued is the shuttle in September 2025. This is the only reason why we chose this hotel rather than any others (even those that were nicer). We wanted to save time (especially getting lost around there even with GPS) and money and did not have to drive and pay for parking. Unfortunately, we did have to spend significantly more money since we had to pay for parking fees and the crazy gas cost of Cali. I was disappointed at the attitude from the girl at the front desk when we arrived. The girl at the desk said sorry your booking company should have told you that we do not have a shuttle--even though it was still being advertised on the website. I will probably not use Agoda to book my travel since they were supposed to contact me so I could get a room elsewhere since we had to drive everywhere. I was on the phone for 30 minutes and on hold many times before I was told I would hear back from Agoda within the hour. It is now Tuesday, one week later, and I never received a call back nor did my booking company ever notify me that the shuttle was discontinued like the girl at the front desk said. Apparently, Agoda is still waiting on hearing back from the "third party" one week later to verify this. I would stay at the hotel again if I need to, but it would not be my first choice.
