CS Spanish Steps Apartment

The place was very spacious and clean. The location is right in the middle of shopping and lots of restaurants; all the major sightseeing spots are within a 15- 30 min walking distance, or you can easily access them all via bus, which stops 3 min away from the apartment. The apartment is on the top floor, with steep stairs, which can be challenging for people with mobility problems. Just wanted to point it out, in case someone has that problem and plans to stay in this place. However, for us it was a fun experience, and the stone staircase was beautiful and part of Old Rome.

The apartment was perfect for our stay with very modern decor, relaxing atmosphere and very close to many tourist attractions. There is a grocery store less than 50 meters away and some very good places to eat within a 5 minute walk.

Every night we were there a man would start shouting things in Italian starting around 11pm and would last hours into the night. The sounds on the street echo from very far and definitely kept us up a few nights. I was also surprised about a city tax that needed to be collected upon transfer of the apartment keys. This had to be paid in cash or no keys? Felt like a scam.

Points négatifs : • L’appartement est situé au dernier étage, avec trois étages à monter par un escalier étroit, ce qui n’est pas précisé dans le descriptif avant la réservation. • Le ménage est fait de manière très superficielle, ce qui laisse à désirer. • La cuisine manque cruellement d’équipements essentiels. • Problèmes d’électricité : dès que deux climatiseurs fonctionnent en même temps et qu’on utilise la machine à laver ou le lave-vaisselle, le courant saute. Il faut alors descendre jusqu’au rez-de-chaussée pour réarmer le disjoncteur, ce qui est particulièrement contraignant. • Odeurs désagréables persistantes dans les toilettes. • Isolation phonique inexistante : on entend tous les bruits de la rue, surtout la nuit, ce qui rend le séjour peu reposant. • Mobilier dégradé : canapé usé et inconfortable, sommier cassé avec des lattes manquantes.
