Lovely apartment in Royston

The apartment was exceptionally clean and really nicely decorated with everything you needed for a short stay (we stayed 4 nights). The shower was nice and hot and the bed was comfortable. The host, Jess, was brilliant and got back to me immediately with answers to questions. Location was good for the train station and a short walk from Greggs, M&S food and Aldi for food supplies.

Whilst the apartment is small, with 5-6 radiators, the radiators are small so the open plan living room/kitchen area takes some time to warm up, even with the heating on high. We stayed in a very cold week though (snow outside one day!) so the heating would probably be sufficient any other time of the year. The smaller rooms (bedroom and bathroom) warmed up much quicker. The place had everything you needed but would have been nice to have a few extra loo rolls, towels and tea towels just in case extras were required.

Great location and very comfortable

Good location. Nice place to stay,easy to access, good parking space, felt like a safe area. Near enough to town to walk to restaurants and in a quiet location. The apartment was lovely with lots of extras in case of forgetfulness..e.g.toiletries, coffee,tea,milk.

Comfortable base for an overnight work trip.

Newly refurbished, clean and comfortable with plenty of space for a single or couple. Kitchen had everything I'd need (including salt, pepper and spices!) great price and close to where I was working. Piping hot water for a bath and nice wash / hair products. Thanks!

Perfect for a short stay.

Very homely, ground floor in a quiet block of 6 apartments and even though close to the railway this wasn't a problem with noise.

Great little apartment

Lovely little apartment with everything you need for a short stay. We stayed on the hottest weekend of the year but the whole place stayed reasonably cool with the curtains left closed. The bed was comfortable and the whole place was very clean and very quiet. Instructions for access were clear and parking was directly outside the window. The kitchen has a washing machine and there were airers to hang clothes on, so we didn't have to bring lots of dirty washing home with us, which was nice.

The towels were a little small, but that's the only thing we would change

Fine if required and good for more than 1 person but left feeling unclean

I liked that it included parking, a washing machine and nice bathroom as well as being spacious

1) the owner required we etransfer her extra money (not via Booking) for a late checkout of 1 hour or more. Odd - was it really that busy? Or even booked? It was mid week 2) there were cobwebs everywhere like on light fixtures, walls, Doors and furniture 3) very dusty in most of the rooms 4) the carpet or rug in main room was filthy, I dropped an item and picked it up along with a dark hair (neither of us have dark hair) 5) tv power was turned off so I couldn’t figure it out until I pushed a bunch of button around the wall. Clearly people hadn’t used or really been in the unit for a while..,

very comfortable self catering accommodation

Host provided good instructions to find the property and for finding the keys via timely messages. Accommodated our request for early access to the property. The property has everything you need including free wifi access. The building was quiet and the surrounding area felt safe.

Some of the decor is beginning to show signs of wear. Nothing a lick of paint wouldn't solve but it would be so much the better for it. Previous users had put dirty crockery back in the cupboard so I had to wash it before we used it. This was a very minor issue.

The location was fantastic close to the train station and the town of Royston, couldn't hear the trains though which was good. Communication about the key and how to get into the property including an issue with the main front door was superb. The flat was spotless and everything we needed
