Oceanhillside B&B

The room was quaint, comfortable. There is no AC, but a fan was provided and we had the 2 windows open for cross ventilation. The evenings were cool so it was comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic. I had no idea we would have a chef to cook our food. The best food I've ever had at a B&B or hotel.

Maria and Bob were very nice, wonderful hosts and they accomodated our late arrival. The location was great and the breakfast was excellent.

We arrived after dark and the B&B sits off the road a ways, so a little bit more signage would be helpful.

The studio space provided everything needed for a 3 day stay. The space was cozy. It’s not designed for cooking, but it had the basics for reheating food, making tea or coffee and toast. The bed was very comfortable. The back door led to a lovely overlook of the ocean/bay. There is a grocery store nearby that sells all the staples. Oh, and the hydrangeas outside the front door are glorious!

We liked everything . We would suggest that the curtains covering the east facing window (next to the bed) could use a light-blocking liner behind the curtain. We are early risers, but other guests might not be.

The hosts were very nice, and facility was clean. Homemade muffins and jams at breakfast.

The property is incredibly dated and aged. Our room had 2 loveseats and 2 chairs - all of which were barely usable: sofas sunk in when sat upon and chair cushioning flattened out so you were sitting on the wooden frame. Bed mattress was, fortunately, not AS bad but not great. Property appears to be on the market. Screens didn’t quite fit in all the windows, one window was propped open with a piece of wood. Weather was cool, luckily, as there appears to be no AC. The owners are very nice, but the place needs new furniture and an overhaul. I don’t like to write bad reviews, but also feel the owners should be providing a comfortable place to stay since people are paying. I wish the owners the best and hope someone buys the property and refurbishes it.
