The house is very cute and the kitchen is super useful. The bathtub is amazing for relaxing after a full day on Skye. The owners are incredibly friendly, easy to connect with, and gave us a very warm welcome...absolutely lovely! The location is perfect, just 5 minutes from Broadford center, peaceful yet very convenient. Everything was perfect.

The property was very lovely and quite large. We enjoyed a downstairs area with kitchen and living along with two bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. Josephine was very kind and checked in with us. The property offers suggestions for shopping, dinning, and visiting. It was very easy to travel to the main sites on Skye while enjoying the less crowded and quiet area of Croft4.

Credit where it’s due: this was a lovely duplex to stay in. it was well-maintained, equipped and in a peaceful area. the owner also provides us with clear check-in instructions and is very responsive towards inquiries.
However, when we found out that some of our friends were nearby, we got naturally excited at the prospect and invited them over for a short dinner. We were not aware of the fact that this was in-breach of the property’s licensed guest limit. I must admit, this was our oversight, and i fully take responsibility of it.
we received knocks on our door and opened to the owner. once she clarified that it wasn’t permitted, we agreed to comply. Our guests left immediately after dinner
That said, our advice for future guests:
- day visitors are not permitted on the premises *at all*, regardless of overnight guest count, and please read all the fine print.
- the owner made some, in our opinion, unnecessary and jarring, remarks. Upon finding out about our guests, she mentioned several times that she would know if our guests had left or not as she is constantly monitoring CCTVs. though, we understand that this came from the need for policy enforcement, such words (and others uttered) were very unprofessional and unproductive in coming to a mutual understanding, especially after we had agreed to comply.
- we had also received a follow-up message threatening to report us to Booking.com for breaching terms and conditions, despite having not breached and agreeing to comply. Conversations from our end have been cooperative throughout, and felt like the reactions to be unwarranted and disproportionate.
