L'ULIVO: apartment within farmhouse just 15 minutes far from Assisi.

This appartment is located in rural, beautiful surroundings. It is close to the motorway ( you can hear it most of the time), the house is accessible by a quite steep and winding path. Typical italian city's and villages are nearby by car. The appartment itsself is very basic, only the bare neccesities are there. The bed in the bedroom is OK (we did not sleep on the sofa). The livingroom is quite bare and we really missed a small table to put e.g. coffee on. The lightings were ( offcourse|) energy saving, which gives harsh lights. We used a bedside lamp for more ambiance. Sadly the oven was broken, it got replaced with a micorwave/grill, I'd rather used the oven though and the refrigerator/ freezer were really smelly and had black spots on the rubber. It probably had been closed when there was no one occupying the appartment and been shut off, hence the smell. We had to severly clean it, but then it was ok. The freezer however, does not close as it should and kept on building up ice. The bathroom is ok, sadly the showerhead is fixed and not adjustable in height, nor usable for only washing your hair. There were different spots to go sit outside and enjoy the surroundings and the birds. The pool is not heated, and very nice to take a plunge to cool down. The owner, Marco, is very hospitable and friendly. Always doing his best to provide you of informations and tips. So even though it's basic, it reflects the rental price. And the location is both beautiful and handy.

Ho soggiornato in questa struttura con la mia famiglia la prima settimana di agosto. Posizione ottima per moltissime escursioni anche nelle regioni vicine. Marco è stato molto accogliente, disponibile e ci ha dato ottimi consigli per visitare luoghi davvero caratteristici. Giardino molto curato. Possibilità di grigliare. Piscina molto sfruttata nei giorni di grande caldo.

La posizione di Deruta è sicuramente strategica per poter visitare l'Umbria. Marco e Barbara sono disponibili ed ospitali, rendendo la loro proprietà , situata in collina con un paesaggio bellissimo, un ambiente familiare. Sicuramente anche questo ha contribuito a godere di una settimana di pieno relax!! Grazie!!

Grazie Marco, Barbara and Mattia, We had a very nice vacation in your holidayhouse. The pool and the view over the Umbrian mountains are beautiful. The location is perfect. It is near the motorway. You can easily drive to all the beautiful cities in the neighbourhood or take the beautiful small roads into the countryside and the hills. The communication with Marco was always very sympathic and very friendly. Marco has many insidertips for sightseeing. We haven’t seen or done everything yet. Ho alloggiato con la mia famiglia in questo splendido posto, immerso nella natura dell'Umbria. Posizione strategica per vari luoghi da visitare che fanno parte del patrimonio Italiano. Posto perfetto per famiglie, le nostre figlie si sono trovate molto bene. Una nota di merito la vorrei fare anche ai proprietari Marco e Barbara per la loro cordialità

Le plus dur quand on rédige une appréciation, c'est de faire court... Très facile quand on n'a pas aimé, mais comme ça n'est pas le cas, je vais essayer quand même ! Pas grand chose à dire sur l'appartement qui est simple et fonctionnel, d'autant que nous n'y étions que pour cuisiner et pour dormir, car nous avons passé la plupart du temps à l'extérieur à profiter du beau temps, de la piscine, et des superbes paysages environnants (je vous les recommande au lever et au coucher du soleil, la lumière est magnifique). Idem pour les équipements, c'est simple et fonctionnel, avec juste deux petites remarques sur la cuisine où il nous a manqué une planche à découper et des verres à pied pour apprécier encore mieux le "vino della casa" gracieusement offert (idem pour l'huile d'olives et les fruits) par Marco. Ah, Marco........ quel personnage !! Je l'ai surnommé "Marco fa tutto" ("Marco fait tout" in french) : Omniprésent mais pas envahissant, à l'écoute et au petits soins pour ses vacanciers. Un vrai homme de la terre comme il se définit lui-même, amoureux de sa région (à titre d'anecdote, un jour j'ai osé dire que l'Ombrie était "la cousine de la Toscane", je me suis fait reprendre de suite, l'Ombrie est "la SŒUR de la Toscane"). Sans oublier Barbara son épouse (également aux petits soins) et leur fils Mattia pour la traduction instantanée (merci à lui !). En résumé, si vous êtes en quête d’authenticité, foncez ! En ce qui nous concerne, nous recommandons vivement cette location, et sans vouloir trahir un secret, je pense que nous y retournerons.

Cela fait 3 années que nous réservons cet appartement, nous avons passé un séjour très agréable comme à chaque fois. Nous y passons un très doux repos car c'est un endroit très calme, chose que nous aimons car nous sommes dans la cinquantaine. Je pense que ce n'est pas un endroit adapté pour des enfants en bas âge car ils s'y ennuierais car trop calme et tranquille. Marco, Barbara et Mattia sont vraiment de très bonne personne, très accueillant et très sympa et surtout très social, nous les considérons comme de la famille. Nous avons déjà réservé pour l'année prochaine. Gros bacci à vous. Marco, Régina e Manon
