Traditional house in Corfu, kouramades vlg

This is a well maintained and lovely house in a beautiful village with well maintained houses. There is ample space inside and an outdoor space at the front with a table under vine leaves. We enjoyed our stay. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. There are several beaches nearby and the owners were very proactive in making suggestions. We swam often. (The owners live in Athens but they work with Corfu couple who can bail you out if any problems). There is an excellent taverna in Kouramades, (Atzardo), with exceptional and simple food. We ate there (in the street) twice and it was full every night it was open. We also enjoyed walks through the village, including through an olive grove.

Our end of the village seemed (in late September) almost deserted. Maybe this would be different in the peak of the season, but that would probably because other holiday makers were also there. There is no shop in the village and although there is an excellent taverna (see above), it is only open in the evening and not every night. The streets often seemed deserted. There is therefore no obvious meeting point where you might chat with local people. It felt a little like being on a film set. We could have done with more information about the nearest places to shop.

Perfecto, cómodo, agradable, limpio, con atención personalizada. Un alojamiento auténtico, en un pueblo casi sin turistas.

En el pueblo no hay ningún comercio, un restaurante de noche que se come de maravilla, comida típica de Grecia o Corfú. Las playas cercanas a 19 minutos en coche por carreteras un poco estrechas como en roda la isla.
