Are you looking for that Classic Beach Cottage Style? Well look no further, "CB’s Bella Vista" is the place for you. This cottage was built in the early1930's with the charm and character of those nostalgic days, but with the modern amenities.
"CB's Bella Vista" is a two story oceanfront cottage located on the North end of Carolina Beach and is only blocks from the North End Fishing Pier. This oceanfront cottage nestled amongst the dunes is perfect for enjoying ocean breezes and listening to the waves washing ashore. The walk over is right beside the cottage and is only steps to the beach.
The main level of the cottage (or second floor) has an open, bright and cheery design with an updated kitchen, dining area, and living room. Plan picnics on the covered wrap around porch or just sit back and enjoy a lazy day. Three of the bedrooms are also located on this level, along with one bathroom. Two bedrooms have a Queen bed each, and a third bedroom is complete with two Twin beds.
The ground level features an open floor plan that includes an additional small kitchen area, living room, and 2 sleeping areas (one full bed, one queen bed), that some may call a “teenager’s suite”. The Full sleeper sofa is located on this level. There is a half bath and a separate shower room also on this level.
There are two TV’s, each located in the living rooms for those rainy days, or plan to visit the North Carolina Aquarium. Make sure you take time to visit the Boardwalk and have one of those famous Britt’s Doughnuts. There are many exciting family things to do on Carolina Beach. Location is convenient and easy access to the beach! There is no direct view of the of the beach but that didn’t bother us. The house is old so there are characteristics of an old property but the owner did well to keep it up to date and feeling cozy. It’s nothing fancy but it works. My family enjoyed their 3 night stay. We had an issue with one of the AC units on the bottom floor when we arrived but the owner was there the next morning and replaced it with a new one, friendly guy and a great host!Easy checkin / checkoutFYI, the two beds downstairs are on each end of the floor plan behind their own wall with NO doors so no true privacy. Walking on the deck/patio was a bit nervous as the wood is very old and a bunch of nail heads popping. The outside rinse shower could use a remodel and cleaning up and also get rid of the fire ant hill that’s there, it was a little frustrating to use as we used it quite often to respect the home and not track sand into the house.Overall would we rent again? Yeah Possibly if the rates aren’t to high.

It isn’t really beach view, but it is conveniently connected to the public access walkway for very easy beach access. Some of our guests were put off by the fact that the downstairs, which surprisingly had a second kitchen and living room, did not have bedroom doors. This made privacy something of an issue. We enjoyed the property very much, overall.

Check-in was good, tv upstairs didn’t work when we arrived but unplugged it and reconnected and it worked well. Found some dirty dishes in the cabinet so a little disappointing. Also you can hear the people walking the street to the beach access. Parking is tight if you don’t have a compact car due to the beach parking in the street. Despite all of that our family of 6 had a great time with a walk up the path to the beach spending our days in the water! The teenagers stayed downstairs feeling like they had their own space it was excellent!

Pros: very close to the beach, close to the boardwalk and restaurants, enough space for lots of people. The home has a lot of charm. Even though you can’t really see the water it’s really nice to sit on the porch and listen to the water.
Cons: lots of nails sticking out of deck (we had toddlers with us which caused a huge concern), the house was not very clean ( my toddler found a can of chewing tobacco under the coffee table, stains on sheets, and mold in fridge and a/c units, the supplies provided were scarce. We had to go buy garbage bags and there wasn’t any sheet pans to kick with. Part of why we rent homes instead of staying in a hotel is so we can cook and not eat out everyday.
