About this house rental

At the end of a mile long curvy mountain drive, nestled atop a granite outcropping which overlooks the valley below, you will find "the Eagle's Nest" - our cozy mountain home which we affectionately call "the cabin".

Our secluded mountain retreat offers the perfect spot for a quiet getaway...
an ideal place for families, couples, or groups of friends to share time together, whether relaxing and soaking in the beauty of the surrounding mountains or adventuring out to explore all that the area has to offer.

This home offers a spacious Greatroom, a large fully equipped Kitchen, two Master Suites with large private bathrooms, a spacious open loft and a third full bathroom.

Guests have access to the entire home and 40 acres of property throughout their stay.

** Note: Nightly Rate is based on 6 Guests.
Additional Guest Fee of $20/night per guest (over 6 guests)

Accommodations:
Sunrise Suite - If you're an early riser and wish to be awakened by the first glimpse of the mountains at sunrise, be sure to leave the drapes open on the porch doors of this suite! King-size bed, private bathroom with large walk-in shower.

Sunset Suite - Fall asleep to a view of the stars in this northwest facing suite. Queen-size bed, private bathroom featuring large shower with river-rock floor to massage your feet after a day of hiking.

Large Open Loft - This spacious open loft has a queen-size sofa sleeper, a full-size bed, and a bunk bed with twin upper/ full-size lower. The loft also has space for additional air mattresses.

The Great Room offers a comfortable gathering space - the perfect place for relaxing in front of the fireplace, reading, playing cards or board games, or enjoying the incredible view!

Our fully equipped gourmet kitchen has everything you'll need for your stay including Sub-zero refrigerator, Viking Gas Cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, coffee-maker, toaster, blender, electric pancake griddle, etc.

The large deck offers plenty of space for outdoor dining or your morning yoga practice, a fireplace to sit by as you enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine, and a hammock for afternoon napping and late-night stargazing!

Our home has both an indoor and outdoor gas fireplace, as well as an outdoor gas grill available for your use. Please note that although there is a fire-pit off of the back porch, NO outdoor fires (either wood or charcoal) are allowed due to the strict fire ban in place in Jefferson County!

Children must be closely supervised at all times as home is located on a granite outcropping with several steep areas which overlook the valley.

Please Note:
Although our place is a secluded 40 acres at the end of our mountain road, there are several neighboring homes that you will pass as you make the drive up into our development.
We ask that you respect our neighbors privacy throughout your stay and use caution as you make the winding drive up and down the road.
We highly recommend a 4WD vehicle when wintery weather is expected.

The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. The views were AMAZING and we enjoyed walking around the property. And communicating with the property owners was easy. We truly enjoyed our stay.

The perfect mountain retreat! The actual place is even better than the photos with the most gorgeous views. We stayed with two other families and had plenty of space. The windy dirt driveway takes a little getting used to for Flatlanders like us, but by our third day we were driving up and down like pros. Grocery stores are only about a 20 minute drive away, and the house is stocked with plenty of pantry staples. Mary gave us so much information ahead of our stay that we had very few surprises (and they were mostly pleasant ones, like the hummingbird feeder we could hang on the deck!). We were so sad to leave and the kids are already asking to go back.

My friends and I had an amazing time at this hidden-away retreat. The house is well-stocked, clean, modern, and very nice. And the owners were great to work with pre/during/post. The biggest surprise was the epic views from the back — pics can’t do it justice. The stars were great and the surrounding area is beautiful. And the huge rock formation that goes down the backyard is awesome. Steep enough to make it fun, but not overly challenging to hike down and back up. Highly recommend.
