Beautiful boutique style hotel near the sea

Great location - just a few minutes walk from the beach, Palanga bridge, and the main street. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was excellent - I really liked that it wasn’t a buffet but offered a menu to choose from. The bed was comfortable, the room spacious, and the shower large. The outdoor garden is also beautiful.

Wonderful location, beautiful hotel, but external events made my experience a bit disappointing

The location really good, very close to the beach and also the main tourist attractions. Also liked the breakfast and service during the breakfast.

Hotel had two events during my stay. I was warned about one of them , but not about the other one. During the unknown to me event music was playing veeeery loud at night, people kept walking up and down the stairs, talking, screaming, etc. It was not the best night I had at the hotel. For me as a hotel guest it was also weird to be there during those events, I needed to cross the event to enter or exit the hotel, i didn’t even want to be at the hotel while they were having those events. The hotel could consider having events only OR welcoming guests and no events because in my opinion when you have both - you make hotel guests feel unwelcome there. Lastly, last day I had to check out very early (~5am) and I was promised a breakfast box which was not prepared.

Great location, good breakfast.

Definitely avoid staying here during wedding season, or at the very least, check well in advance whether any private events are scheduled during your visit before booking. We booked a one-night stay to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and ended up feeling like we had accidentally crashed someone else’s big day (the irony isn’t lost on me). Yes, we were notified via Booking.com about a “festive event” taking place at the restaurant that might involve loud music until 23:00. I remember thinking, “What a bummer,” because the on-site restaurant was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. But our plans couldn’t change—we had concert tickets that night—and the booking was non-refundable, so I figured we’d just make the most of everything else. Oh, how wrong I was… We arrived at 15:00 to check in, only to find the entire hotel in full-blown wedding prep mode. Tents going up, flower arrangements being set, sound equipment being hauled in - right by the entrance. We had no idea where to go. It already felt awkward, like we were intruding. While the receptionist was friendly, check-in felt rushed, and the overall vibe was that hotel guests were an afterthought compared to the wedding. Still, we tried to keep our spirits up and relax before heading out to the concert. I took out a book, my husband lay down for a quick nap. But it was hard to relax with all the noise from the hallways and downstairs - clanking dishes, loud conversations, and eventually, a full-blown sound check. Not exactly a quiet string quartet either… More like booming old-school Lithuanian pop songs coming straight through the closed door as if the band was performing in our room. My husband never managed to fall asleep. After about 30 minutes of this, we gave up and left the hotel. We returned just after midnight, fully expecting there was no point coming back any sooner. The music had stopped by then, and the last guests were heading out while the staff cleaned up.

Fantastic Stay – Perfect Location and Atmosphere We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Location – 10/10: Just 50 meters from both the seaside and the main street – you really can’t beat it. We were initially concerned about the nearby kids zone being too noisy, but it turned out to be a non-issue. The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing throughout our stay. Staff were incredibly professional, friendly, and welcoming – a real highlight of our visit. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and well equipped with everything we needed. And finally, the garden – absolutely beautiful! A lovely, serene spot to unwind after a day by the sea.

Fabulous stay at all seasons.

Fabulous place. On top of all the facilities, it has the special aura the building and the lovely courtyard gives. All the meals were wonderful.

I couldn’t find the Wi-Fi password anywhere in the room, but the restaurant staff helpfully advised.

Great hotel. Poor communication from the staff

The room was in an excellent condition with all of the required amenities. The breakfast menu was good. Great options and service. Close to the seaside.

The main and only complaint is to do with my luggage. My flight back home was at 11pm. Since the check out happens at 12, I asked the reception if I could leave my bags inside the hotel and come back at 8pm to collect them. Upon my return, I found out that the hotel and restaurant had closed earlier. After numerous attempts of trying to get in touch with them, I unfortunately had to fly back home without my luggage. It's all been sorted now but because the hotel staff didn't ring me to notify me of earlier closing hours of this day, I have to give them 6.

Stunning villa

It's a charming villa. Clean and beautiful. The staff was very friendly. Snacks in the room. Breakfast was the highlight. Served in the beautiful dining room. We felt like royalty. Cottage cheese cake is a must try. Super tasty food. We absolutely enjoyed the hotel and Palanga. Cannot wait to visit again. Thank you, Vila Komoda and their amazing staff.

Incredibly beautiful property with rich history, amazing staff and incredible restaurant. The restaurant has a lot to offer to the guest and definitely a spot I would choose to dine in even if I wouldn't be staying at this place. Staff was friendly and helped me with all my asks. Location? Couldn't be better! Literally the closest place to the beach. Can't wait to come back!

Great place in a freat location

The location is very convenient: it's about three minutes of walking to the seashore, a few restaurants and cafes in the vicinity, and the crowded main street is as close as the quiet park. The interior is very clean and fresh. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast options are not very numerous but tasty. The restaurant wasn't crowded, and all dishes were served quickly.

Pleasant and inviting to come back

Everyone was extremely pleasant, I was alone with my son and everyone did their best to make it easier for me, helping with the luggage, bringing toys for my son and talking to him while we were eating. Very small things, but shows great attitude, like when I asked at the restaurant if there was a receptionist in the evening because I want to ask how to turn on the light in the coridor, waiter just went and turned it on, or a cleaning lady offering to help me carry our stuff when we were leaving the room, or the receptionist allowing to fill in check in card later because she saw that we were carrying a lot of stuff and were in a hurry to put it down. Vila Komoda is in a great location and has very nice garden. The building and the outside is very well looked after, everything seems quite brand new and clean. Rooms are of good size and convenient, high ceilings, nice decor, small but pleasant details.

A bit too noisy at some points with small child, it can get tricky to put child to sleep because from time to time there are some loud noises like doors closing or cars from outside. Receptionist thanked me for mentioning it, so maybe they will figure something out about it. Restaurant menu is a bit limited for a longer stay, food is great and suitable for one time diner, but you would run out of options after few days. Missing more vegetables in the menu, there is no soup or salad at all, breakfast also seem to need healthier/lighter options, for a longer stay would be forced to go out somewhere else to eat.
