Thrushwood is a traditional wood house built in 1940, with many nice nineteenth century features. Most of the furniture looked quite new, and clean. There are several living spaces including a sunroom. The host was easy to reach and very quick to respond to our questions. The house is remarkably clean, and we had no problems with allergies. The lawn and garden are well cared for. We were able to use WiFi and watch Netflix without using our own passwords. We came for a family reunion and we think this is a great house for families. The stairs provided good exercise but would not be suitable for elderly or disabled guests. Our host told us about Shaws, a large grocery store just down the road which carries some organic items, and there is another store nearby that carries all organic, and a Market Basket a little farther away where we bought delicious fresh haddock. There are also great bookstores and clothing stores in the area. The kitchen is very well equipped and there were plenty of dishes for the six of us. The house was stocked with paper products and plastic bags when we arrived. Thrushwood is in a good location, quiet and secluded, just off Route 101. We saw deer browsing in the evening and quite a few birds. Parking is easy, on the circular asphalt drive, which we also used for daily walks. As with all old houses there were a few minor problems such as slow drains which we reported to Wayne after we left. We would love to stay at Thrushwood again.

Nice large property in a great location. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all and great gathering areas for the family. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, etc.

Three generations enjoyed a happy, memorable Thanksgiving on yhis property. The views out each window were beautiful. The kitchen was very well stocked. The home was clean and welcoming upon arrival. Wayne was easily accessible and helpful. Thank you!

Such a lovely home, Wayne was easy to reach and quick to respond! We celebrated our daughter’s wedding on Saturday at Monadnock State Park (about 20 minute drive) and had a lovely dinner the night before, there was plenty of room for all of us! Would definitely stay there again!
