Amazing stay. Yuji & his beautiful wife welcomed us, and let us pat there cute dogs many times. All the bedrooms are upstairs, with Japanese style bathrooms and hot tubs downstairs. There is a drying room to store snow gear and a massage chair for after a long day on the slopes. There is a bus stop less than 200m away out the front or it is a 10minute walk into the main part of echoland. We will be staying here again when we return to Hakuba.

Very friendly owners. I could buy beer from them and they drow us to railway station since we not found a taxi.

The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. Offering to pick us up from the bus terminal and providing great service with translating.

The male owner was nice and tried to make it work by opening up the shower room for me at night and in the morning. He made the stay pleasant enough. The location of the house and surroundings are beautiful and skiing in the area is great after all.

It got advertised as hotel but it’s really a B&B. Shower schedule and house rules are ridiculous and were not advised on booking.com in clear enough detail. Shower schedule: no showers before 3pm and after 9pm so after night skiing or a late meal you’ll hit the sack smelly and sticky. Forget the late meal anyway because after 10pm you’ll be locked out of the house according to the house rules. Female owner was uncharacteristically direct and outright rude when I asked why I have to leave behind my key and how I would be able to shower in the morning. ‘My house, my rules’ was her response. That’s great as long as you advertise them! Then it’s up to the customer if they want to book or not.
