Hotel Wissam

Great central location, just 3 minutes from the main square. Lots of restaurants on the same street. Friendly staff always happy to help us. We paid in the local currency which was easy. Well designed and pretty riad. Quiet inside, we never heard street noise. Rooms were spacious and great overall considering the price. Strong air conditioning. Wifi worked great. Hand soap, toilet paper and towels were provided. Refills were available on request. We had requested a ground floor room and this request was met. The room was wheelchair accessible

2 out of 4 mattresses were very thin to the point where you can feel the springs. We took turns to sleep on the ‘good’ mattress 🥲😂 I don’t mind hard, but this was uncomfortable. After a long day, a comfy bed is a requirement! No bidet which was surprising. Shower head was broken so water pressure was non-existent. Toilet wasn’t wheelchair accessible (I requested a ground floor room specifically) the sink blocked the door from opening so even a small size wheelchair cannot fit. Luckily we had 2 rooms and the bathroom was fine in the other room.

Central location, perfect for doing day trip activities, close to the markets which was great for exploring. Friendly staff who were accommodating in many aspects of the stay, nice terrace area that you can sit out in when it’s warm.

If choosing to pay at property, card is not accepted. I advise you to take the cash out before arrival and avoid the ATM’s just around the corner, especially after dark

There were no towels, shampoo or shower gel provided.

We just stayed one night to catch the 3 day desert tour, they pick you up close to this place. The beds are hard but you had 4 beds so very priceworthy. VERY close to the big square.

Like all old houses in marrakesh you can forget noise isloation in these places. Expect to hear the outside very well.
