About this lodge

If you haven't rented a mountain lodge, on three acres along the banks of a beautiful river, with it's own private pool.... get on over here. This place just keeps getting better and better. The newly renovated Red Cub Lodge is bigger, nicer and better than it has ever been before with room for the whole family. Brand new (2025) two story deck. At 1,300 sq ft, the new deck is the biggest and nicest room in the lodge. Space for 48 to dine on the main deck alone. Eight bedrooms, Seven baths. Two enormous Glamping Tents with King Beds. Gorgeous deck with space for the whole family. Giant (25x50 ft) Warm Spring Fed Pool. Volleyball Court. TWO Competition Horseshoe Pits. Game Room. New Air Conditioning (Spring of 2024), and a GIANT (54cf) commercial fridge/freezer.... Oh yeah, did I mention the giant private pool and TWO hot tubs. This 4500 Sq Ft home on 2.7 acres. on the banks of the Cub River Sleeps @50.

Our grandkids loved this VRBO, and they are already begging for a repeat! We celebrated our 50th anniversary all together and loved the privacy, the pristine surroundings, the nearby walks, the sound of the river, the volleyball setup, the quiet, the time to connect! The pool, hot tubs, and swings were always busy!Everyone liked their bedroom, and those in the glamping tents loved those, as well. The fridge is awesome--plus having two stoves and two dishwashers was helpful for our group of 32 people. The icemaker was a hit with the whole group!Laurin welcomed us when we arrived, kept in touch daily to see if we had questions, was wonderful to the little kids, and worked so hard to keep everything looking shipshape in the yard.

We had so much fun and it was a beautiful house in a beautiful setting big enough for the whole family too enjoy each other‘s company or be away from each other when we wanted. It was close enough to Preston and Logan so that we could go out and do activities other places, but the pool was so fun that we just stayed there most of the time. Everyone voted to go there again.
