About this cottage rental
This updated cottage has 125' of frontage on the Munuscong Bay. It is an Upper Peninsula paradise for nature lovers and sportsmen, alike. It has a seasonal dock and small sandy beach area. The rental includes a rowboat (no motor). The Bay depths average between 4-6 feet and it is known for its excellent fishing, ice fishing and duck hunting. Enjoy the sunsets, watch the freighters in the distance, fish or just enjoy the peace and quiet.
It's an easy trip (less than an hour) to Cedarville, Mackinac Island ferries, Soo Locks, Kewadin casino and Chippewa County International Airport (CIU) or make a day trip to Whitefish Point (
The cottage has 1300 sq. ft. of living space with 2 baths and 3 bedrooms. One bath and two bedrooms are upstairs (one with 2 full beds, one with 1 queen bed and balcony) and the other bath and bedroom are downstairs (one full bed). The property is on a private 0.6 acre lot. The kitchen has new appliances and is well-equipped. There is a new washer and dryer, charcoal grill, fire pit, deck, balcony, and 2 small TVs with a few local channels (no cable). Cellular signal is good at the property, but spotty in the surrounding area. Bed linens and towels (1/guest) provided. No smoking inside. Dogs considered (please inquire for pre-approval) with a non-refundable pet fee and signed pet addendum.

This property is a hidden gem. Very quiet and remote. Did not hear anything except waves from the lake. Only a short trip to Sault ste Marie to see all of the Museums. Loved watching the ships through the locks and the Valley Camp museum. The restaurants were Excellent. Went to the mouth of the Tahquamenon river, rented a pontoon boat and drove it up to the falls. Then caught smallmouth bass and pike all the way back down. Also went to kayaking out onto Mununscong lake and caught several large smallmouth over 2lbs and caught a 12" yellow perch right off the dock. We saw several deer, turkey and saw my first bear at the entrance of Maple Point. Also the most beautiful sunsets ever! Very nice house and stay and we hope to come back!

We had a lovely stay at this cabin! The host was very accommodating and we loved the lake front setting. Our two dogs also had a blast in the yard. It was peaceful and relaxing. The cabin fit us perfectly and had everything we needed for a great week.
