This cozy property is home to the Historical Old Mill Pond in downtown Hessel. Enjoy 2nd to none views of the West Entrance in Hessel. The cottage itself is rustic and well maintained since the 40s. It's cozy and true to the area with just enough vintage charm!
Direct route by boat to Mackinac Island. With a protected covered 2 boat slip boathouse.

Few hundred yards walking distance to downtown hessel (Gift Shops, Islander Bar, Hessel Marina, Hessel Culinary Restaurant)

We had a wonderful stay, the cottage was quaint and very comfortable, the views, OUTSTANDING! Our dog enjoyed swimming with the geese!

Loved location. Communication with owner great. Loved peaceful small town. Loved Newer stove,fridge,dishwasher and commercial grade washer and dryer.Wish budget would allow for longer stay.

This property was fabulous and exceeded our expectations. We have older kids in their 20s all the way to age 9, and they all loved it. It is a perfect spot for a family get away. We loved how they preserved much of the original house while also updating it. It is so cute and so charming. The marina is also so so close making it so easy to drop the boat. We will be back. We give this a 5 !

Pros: nice location. Nice view. Close to town
Cons: it's old. Don't go when it's cold. Leaks air like crazy. Doors don't close. Windows won't open. Plumbing is sketchy at best. Gas grill is rusted out. Boat house was serviceable. Random trash around. Fishing was decent though 😊
