Gorgeous farmhouse

Check in was easy, the host provided lovely recommendations for nearby, and the location is stunning. The house itself is gorgeous and gives you the perfect rugged vibes.

Just the one washroom downstairs can get tricky in the morning, but otherwise no issues at all.

Perfect, picturesque cottage

This is a gorgeous cottage - the pictures don’t really capture how quaint and pretty the home is. The garden is stunning too and the views from the property are beautiful.

The only small downside were the beds - not the most comfortable for me - other than that I would have scored it full marks.

Quaint Farmhouse stay with magnificent places of interest a stone throw away.

This place was so cosy we stayed for one night, 3 sisters. The fire was set for us in the kitchen and sitting room, it took some time to heat up, but when it did the place was really toasty. Beds had electric blanket on each one, bed linen was fresh smelt lovely, bed needed the electric blanket as was cold, it been February. Kitchen had all that we required. Sitting room was cosy. Don't expect 5*, it's a rustic farmhouse. Bathroom was nice and big with beautiful tiling and large shower, beautiful sink and the rustic wooded sink surround was beautiful. Would have loved to have sat outside and enjoyed the lake view but unfortunately the weather was cold and wet. Right up the road we visited Geokaun Mountain and Fogher Cliffs fantastic views, we also went to the Slate mine and down to the Lighthouse. Absolutely fantastic scenery on our doorstep. I would definitely return here again and would definitely recommend Boss's Farmhouse.

Unique homestay and a very memorable part of our holiday in Kerry. We would love to visit again!

The location was superb - close to both Valentia town and Portmagee, and the breathtaking Skelling Ring landscapes. The short hike to Bray Head on Valentia gave spectacular views of the Kerry Cliffs, and Skellig and Blasket islands. Wild and wonderful, Valentia is a very special place to explore.

Our only, slightly negative feedback to our lovely host was the main bed was a bit too short for my 6'2" husband, and a bit too soft for a sound night's sleep. Other than that, it was a unique cottage with every other comfort well planned out and obviously well-cared for by Anthea.

It's charm. It was very well kept and the kids loved it. The owner had thought of detail in order to make you welcome. Little things that a family needs were well catered for. And then if that wasn't enough she came over to welcome us. Very kind. The house and the setting is beautiful.

Diabolical !!!

We did not stay here it had a sewage problem so Kathleen gave us The Blue Cottage Valentia

We arrived at Blue Cottage and outside looked like a building site. When we entered the property the damp fusty smell was awful. It alk looked clean and bathroom was newly refurbished. But unfortunately the bed linen was damp and fusty. We tried to get alternate place ro stay but everywhere was booked up. Do not stay at The Blue Cottage Valentia.

Cozy stay in a nice 3 bedroom, one bathroom farm house with 2 peat/wood burning stoves.

We loved the peat/wood burning stoves in the living room and kitchen. The electric bed heaters, Netflix and all the items needed to heat the stoves was great. Host was very helpful finding catering for our Christmas dinner and help with some minor issues. Loved the big shampoo/conditioner and soap in the bathroom.

Honestly, the only problem we had was figuring out which side of the road the property was on. We couldn't find an address or a name on a mailbox.

Fantastic location perfect for a stopover on the Ring Of Kerry, loved the layout, the decor and the blooming flowers in the garden. Very usefull hints and tips from the host. Reccomend booking ahead for the local restaurants. Reccomend a walk to the top of the hill and over the crossroads to see the sea beyond.

Penetrante geur

Mooie locatie, en hele goede routebeschrijving.

Benedenverdieping had een penetrante geur van verbrande turf. Raampjes in kachel ontbraken. Geur leidde toch een heftige astma aanval. Daardoor direct de woning verlaten en een andere locatie gezocht. Contact gehad met eigenaresse, die passief,agressief,reageerde op onze situatie. Mw stond niet open voor een financiële tegemoetkoming aangezien we geen gebruik hebben kunnen maken van Boss's Farmhouse!
