Breakfast Creek Cottage

spacious and comfortable felt quite at home. heaters kept us warm. and cosy.

a big fireplace but no wood!!!! it would have been great to have fire during our stay - weather was cold. No wifi.

Great location. Nice accommodation.

We could have done with some more firewood. In saying that I could have rang the manager to get some more.. it just would have been nice if there was plenty there already.

Breakfast was not part of the package. The location was very good as it was within walking distance to where we wanted to explore. We enjoyed visiting this historic part of Victoria. The weather was 'wild and woolly' but made for great brisk walking and views of the high waves. The updated cottage is tastefully renovated. Just a few things could be improved upon as you will read in the next section. Because it was reasonably priced we would book it again.

Within the cottage itself, whilst we appreciate the age of the building, the lighting, particularly in the kitchen was very weak. We would suggest a couple of more LED lights in the ceiling and close to the stove. The light in the exhaust canopy was not working so it was hard to see clearly when cooking. There was a minor leak adjacent to one of the skylights when it was raining heavily. We lit a fire which was lovely to have on a cold, wet night, but the chimney must need cleaning as the living room became very smoky. Our eyes were irritated.

Location, spacious, bathrooms and kitchen clean and showers spacious.

Cobwebs and dusty knickknacks , not enough breakfast bowls. Furniture looked good and in good condition but not very comfortable. Needs a bit of an update to some amenities and internet if not offering streaming or Foxtel etc.
