The owner takes care of the house by himself. He responded soon and prepared as many as he could for us. The beautiful views of bay outside the window all day，lovely little birds having meals，and easy to the castle and Skye. A good place for family。

The house is dog friendly, which is a must for us and a not too frequent feature in properties like this one! The house was ready for any need, the kitchen was already well stocked with essentials which is a nice plus since we wanted to cook and eat in. The view from the living room is absolutely stunning. Amazing customer care!

Everything! It was a last minute booking and I was only a few minutes away from the house. The owner responded to my early evening call immediately and was so helpful with making sure I had everything I needed. I can't thank Alan enough for providing such wonderful customer service and care - a rare thing these days. Book collection fantastic and I could have stayed reading and looking at the view for a month. Highly recommend the house and the service.

Wonderful place to stay. Really thoughtful directions and advice for arrival. Loads of food and supplies in kitchen. Comfy rooms. Wonderful lighting! Real attention to detail. And delightful bird feeders. Highly highly recommended.

Fantastic. Comfortable. Felt like home.

The host was considerate to keep the kitchen well stocked. This was especially important since it was a bit away from the nearest village. It is a lovely cottage with interesting books, a very nice view and felt cozy like home.

Can't think of any. A second bathroom would have helped with our family of 5, but we managed quite well.

Fantastic view and comfy home near Skye

This was our favourite accommodation so far. Comfortable, incredibly well equipped home with a lovely view over the loch. Alan was very welcoming and had put a lot of thought into providing everything his visitors could need. Loved the well populated bird feeders outside the kitchen and lounge windows. There are lots of interesting features in the home. Close enough to visit Skye. Good check-in instructions

Felt like home! Cozy, comfortable and we could have stayed forever. A cupboard full of food, snacks and treats, even an Xbox for my teenage son (a highlight after seeing many castles!). The view is to die for.

Fantastic home from home, had literally everything you could need and more! The view speaks for itself and is breathtaking! Stunning views and Highlands hospitality

We booked a two night stay in An Comaraich as a family of six and could not have been happier. The home is spacious and comfortable with so many thoughtful and interesting touches. A particular highlight was the well stocked pantry and fridge which the host encouraged us to make use of - Highlands hospitality at its finest! The property has stunning unobstructed views of the loch and is ideally positioned for day trips to Skye and surrounds. We would love to visit again!

It is a home away from home

The location is perfect. Gorgeous scenic drives to and from. Close to Isle of Skye, Kyle of Lochalsh, Plockton, Glenelg. The whole house was a home away from home. Pantry and fridge were stocked with all basic needs. We could have used food from the house and not eaten out, but we wanted to try the local restaurants and pubs, which did not disappoint. And the view across the Loch was also superb. I have a medium disability. Alan went out of his way to ensure that my access to the shower was as easy as possible. A very thoughtful and generous host providing many recommendations and ideas. I will be telling my friends about this place.

The fabulous views and the homely feeling missing from many similar properties. The Sky TV and X-Box were a welcome bonus. The outdoor seating facilities were terrific. The owner has thought of nearly everything to make his guests stay a good one. This our 2nd time staying here. Its well positioned to explore the local area. The road to Glenelg and ultimately Corran is spectacular and the Glenelg Ferry and the mountain pass road on Skye side were much more entertaining than just crossing the Skye Bridge.

Nothing worth mentioning here ! You can avoid other tourists and have a much better holiday by going off piste (take the high roads not the main roads) and also only visiting the top tourist hot spots early in the morning or early in the evening !

Incredible location with everything you could need or hope for

We had an incredible stay with the most amazing view. This was one of our favourite stays for our entire trip. Just wish we could have stayed longer. Alan was an amazing and generous host, with a well-stocked kitchen and everything you could possibly need or hope for. We can't recommend him highly enough.

Perfect location. You can walk around to see a various places. The host left a lot of food for us. The house was like you are at home. Just perfect. In there you have everything you need as appliancies. Comfortable beds, TV + Xbox, music, Alexa in the rooms. Warm and cosy. New bathroom made with style + fully fitted kitchen + washing machine and dryer... . You don't need anything - it's just like home... It was a pleasure to visit Scotland again... Strongly recomended!
