Thoroughly enjoyed, interior of impeccable quality and taste, great view, good value for money, highly recommended.

The fig tree house overflows with a feeling of great taste and warmth. The interior of wood and rock and the exquisite decoration takes your breath away! We could not get enough of the living room with its pieces of art. The house faces west and the view from the balcony is awesome. The bedrooms are very cosy. The kitchen is very well equipped and exceeded our expectations. Location is very good gives you a chance to walk the streets of the village.

For first-time visitors like us the text-only directions to find the house were a bit confusing - an unambiguous, detailed map and photos are definitely needed! Access by car and parking takes a bit of getting used to. The Coffee maker seems to be broken - we could not get it to work. Ventilation in the 2 WCs could be improved. The front yard can be improved, esp. the small wooden external door, which needs fixing, and the small garden which has a lot of potential.

If you are in Samothraki, you must stay at the Fig Tree House. The location of it is great, right in the heart of the island and close to all the amenities. Fig Tree House is beautifully furnished with particular attention to detail and fully equipped with everything you may need. It is clean and we felt safe and comfortable. We can't recommend it enough.

It is located in the heart of Samothraki Chora. The balcony and living room are amazing and very cozy. The view of the castle and sea is stunning. Very convenient for 2 couples as it has 2 rooms with separate bathrooms.

Lovely, comfortable, traditional house

The property is in a good, peaceful location just above the centre of Chora. It has a small garden area to relax in, a balcony with views over the village to the castle & sea, (where you can enjoy an ouzo … or two). The open plan lounge, dining, kitchen area is upstairs and is spacious but cosy, as well as being well equipped. Although we only required one bedroom, both bedrooms which are separated by the entrance corridor downstairs have their own bathroom facilities. However, the standout feature of this property was the kindness of Sofia, the property owner. From the information she provided before our arrival, to the help she provided when the breaks failed on our hire care, (not a great thing to happen in to you in Samothraki!), we could not have asked for more. She’s a true gem!!

There is nothing we didn’t like about the property but visitors need to be aware that Chora is built on a hillside with relatively steep narrow lanes and there is no parking adjacent to the property. Guests with limited mobility may therefore struggle reaching any of the properties in the village.

The house itself is fantastic with lots of opportunities to spend the various times of the day (I will only mention the coolness and the quietness of the bedrooms in the hot afternoons; the light and the comfort of the sofas in the living room upstair; the wonderful views from the terrace of Chora, the island or the sea in the evening or at any time of the day; the perfect balance of the kitchen which makes it such a joy to use it; the location in the quiet, not so touristic part of Chora, yet in the middle of everything; the carefulness with which the house was renovated and refurbished). But most of all, I would like to thank the hosts who were, in these special times we are going through, so thoughtful, supportive and accommodating, without whose help we wouldn't have been able to enjoy such a great and so much needed vacation.

Sehr schön! Vielen Dank und hoffentlich bald wieder in Samothraki!

Ein sehr schönes altes Haus mit viel Geschmack gestaltet. Wir mochten den Balkon mit Meerblick genauso wie die großzügige Terasse mit Daybed. Die Küche war super ausgestattet und das Wohnzimmer gemütlich. Außerdem nur ein Katzensprung in die Hauptstraße von Chora Samothraki. Die Dame des Hauses war jederzeit telefonisch erreichbar und half bei allen Problemen. Super!

Es gibt nichts auszusetzen.

Wat een heerlijke plek

De locatie: midden in Chora. Wat ons betreft de perfecte plek voor een verblijf op het prachtige Samothraki. En om daar dan zo'n mooi, sfeervol, comfortabel huisje te hebben, met ook nog een heerlijk tuintje: het was geweldig! De huiseigenaresse, Sofia, hebben we niet gezien, maar het contact via de booking.com app was heel fijn, ze is supervriendelijk en behulpzaam. We hebben genoten de 6 nachtjes dat we hier waren en "the fig tree house" heeft een warm plekje in ons hart.

Erholung garantiert!

Das Feigenhaus liegt wunderbar mittendrin und ist herrlich ruhig. Das Haus ist komfortabel und geschmackvoll mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Die Anreise, Schlüsselübergabe war unkompliziert. Sofia ist sehr hilfsbereit und kümmert sich sofort, sollte Hilfe benötigt werden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Der Aufenthalt war definitiv zu kurz 😉!
