Mylopotamos Beach House

The location and setting for the beach house was truly spectacular. The house is on a beautiful beach which is essentially empty most of the time. The terrace overlooks the beach with high cliffs on either side - we never imagined we would be staying in such a unique location. The house was extremely well equipped with great kitchen facilities, washing machine, and a barbecue grill which we used every day (coal was provided). The space and bedrooms were simple but perfectly adequate. There was a lot of cupboard and wardrobe space, as well as lots of daily essentials. Sun loungers and umbrellas were provided and we had an amazing time enjoying the beach and great snorkeling 20m from the house. Would highly recommend it for a unique and wonderful experience of Pelion!

We were a bit hot in the night, although fans were provided it would have been even better to have AC. This might be ok for people who are used to hot weather but coming from the UK we are not accustomed to Greek temperatures :)

We had the opportunity to live in that old fish taverna for two weeks, so we had enought time to explore. The house îs peaceful, the owner tried not to interfere with the beautiful landscape and all the outdoor facilities are chosen with care. Mylopotamos beach wasn’t crowded in the summer of 2020; we visited Fakistra beach in a kaiak tour, starting from Damouhari, and Limnionas beach (20 minutes by foot). We really enjoyed canyoning in mount Pelion - they have equipment for kids- and the kayak tour. Theodore - tour host left the adds in the living room; please, dare and challenge yourself.

The host provided ahead of time very clear instructions on how to get there. Upon arrival, there was help to carry our suitcases down the many stairs to the beach house. At the beach house, our host had prepared for us a bottle of wine, local bakeries, cheese and coffee pods for the moden coffee machine in the fully equipped kitchen. The two rooms were perfect, clean and confortable and so was the bathroom including a washing machine. Our host maintained constant contact to make sure all was perfect and even though we didn't meet hime personally, he sounded realy charming on the phone. The location on the beach, just a few steps above sea level was ideal and nearby restaurant and parking a few steps up was excellent. The second day we made a barbecue on the verandah with all but the meat provided in the facility. Couldn't be a better two-day break and rest from our extensive touring before.

It would be helpful if the host provided some washing powder/gel for the washing machine.
