About this house rental
The Gîte Pigeonnier "la Brugue" is located in the town of Puygouzon, 5km south of Albi in the direction of Castres, in a very peaceful residential area. You can, from the gîte, take the Chemin des Droits de l'Homme (greenway built on the old railway connecting Castres and Albi) and explore Albi (Episcopal City listed as World Heritage by Humanity), from Réalmont, bastide royale or Lautrec, one of the most beautiful villages in France, famous for its pink garlic. After a day full of discoveries, you will appreciate the sweet summer evenings under the pergola, or by the pool.
Small independent gite, recently designed dovecote, for two people, near the owners' house. Ground floor: living room / kitchen with pantry, lounge, shower room, wc. Upstairs bedroom. Extra bed available. Electric heating. Air conditioner. 2 bikes available, swimming pool shared with the owners (10x5m), barbecue, hammock, pergola. Possibility to rent sheets, towels + end of stay cleaning service.
Optional extras: Rental of bathroom linen (per person) (5 €), Rental of sheets (per bed) (10 €), Price per day per animal: only small animal (3 €), Cleaning service accommodation (price per stay) (50 €)

We were made most welcome by the Gîte's owners Jean-Marc and Marie-Jo. I would have no hesitation in recommending their kind hospitality and attention.The Gîte is like a Tardis, it appears smaller than it is. It is clean, spacious inside, well equipped and very comfortable for two people. There is a lovely garden area at the rear of the property for outdoor dining and a sheltered pergola type spot with a hammock for lazy sunny days. The pool is a good size and shared with the owners but this was not intrusive.The Gîte is in a good location for getting out and about. We had access to two bicycles but it was far too hot to attempt. There are greenways nearby to cycle safely to nearby towns and villages if an enthusiast.The stunning red brick town of Albi is just a short drive away. A visit to the riverside, the Cathedral, and the Toulouse Lautrec museum are a must if you visit there.Jean-Marc and Marie-Jo provide a detailed information pack for the local area and were helpful in their advice for visits.Ambialet is picturesque and good for a spot of fishing, my OH went for barbel but caught 2 large carp. The hotel by the river is a lovely location for a meal. We were taken aback by the town of Cordes sur Ciel. There's a wow factor there. Lautrec is also well worth a visit as are any of the bastide towns in the area.The stairs to the bedroom are quite steep so might be awkward for anyone with mobility difficulties but in all other respects it is perfect. A car is helpful.

Nous avons fort apprécié le gite clair et propre avec ses terrasses, et la tranquille et verte environment tout près d’Albi. La piscine est grande! Les propriétaires sont tres gentils et serviables. Rien n’était trop demande pour nous aider.

Rien a redire , nous avons passé un excellent séjour, le logement est très agréable , les propriétaires très sympas et accueillants, proche d Albi et de la voie verte
