Central location and relatively quiet at night. I was lucky to have a whole room to myself and got great sleep. The lockers are convenient to use as well

The owner of Afrim was so kind, welcoming, and helpful. The hostel was spotless. Very quiet and comfortable. It's within walking distance from the center and surrounded by lots of restaurants and supermarkets. It also has a kitchen to cook. Highly recommend.

The location was great – just about 5 minutes from the city center and around 20 minutes from the bus station. There were plenty of options nearby to eat or just sit and relax. It was also cheap for one night, and since we were traveling as a couple and no one else came to the other beds, it turned out perfect. The mattress was comfortable, the blanket was enough, though it did get a bit chilly at night. There was no air conditioning in the room, but we actually liked that, since we didn’t have to argue with anyone about the temperature. Hot water was working fine, and in the women’s bathroom there was even a hairdryer.
It really is an older hostel – the walls showed signs of mold, both in the rooms and in the bathroom. The kitchen was almost non-existent, just a small improvised space with a two-burner stove right by the reception, without proper room to store or wash dishes. The microwave had mold built into the plastic. We didn’t get any instructions on how things worked or why the kitchen wasn’t available, but on the day of departure the doors were open and it looked like they were doing major renovations. Because of that, there was no real common area – though I believe in the future it might get better.
