Androniki suite

Eleni is an excellent host who went out of her way to ensure that the apartment was as good as it could be - clean, well appointed and very comfortable. The apartment is very well located and a great sanctuary in a busy city.

It was all excellent. There was nothing to dislike

We unfortunately had a late flight into Athens, which was delayed, eventually arriving shortly after midnight, however Eleni waited up for us to provide access to the apartment and to also provide instructions on the apartment features. The accommodation is spacious, very clean and comfortable with the added bonus of a roof top area with a stunning view of the Acropolis including the Parthenon, particularly at night. Easy to reach by train from the airport and well located to all the historical sights in Athens. There are numerous restaurants and shops nearby, however we would recommend Onos Taverna which is a short 5 minute walk. Stop 3 of the hop on hop off bus is also only a short 10 min walk.

nothing.

Absolutely loved everything starting with the welcoming host Eleni, comfort, spotless cleanliness, location and unforgettable view from the rooftop terrace.

As shown in the photos I was impressed with the pictures of the Acropolis.

Unfortunately, there were several things that were a bit surprising & uncomfortable when we arrived. 1. Upon meeting our host as we walked in the door we were hushed…told we were only allowed to whisper while coming in & out of Apt. 2. The stairs can be a little tiring for some. (3 flights & extra for balcony) 3. The bathroom had no wall mount for the shower head so it was very uncomfortable/dangerous taking a shower. It is dated & you have to stand in the tub (slippery). 4. The ambience on the upper balcony was non existent. Perhaps some new furniture can makes things more welcoming & comfortable. I’m addition the balcony on the Apt floor was also sparse & the view was of demolished apt. It wasn’t the most ideal place to sit & relax. 5. Also this property doesn’t offer much help with transfer arrangements so keep that in mind. And even though there was a list provided of local restaurants I didn’t feel like the host really gave good local tips. 6. Last, but not least…the 😭location. I heard good things about the district but honestly, it was quite a chore to travel to the other places. Too many taxi rides. If I could redo my Athens trip I would chose Plaka or Psiri.
