The property was fully equipped with everything you could need, with added facilities that made the place a real gem. The balcony was the perfect spot for breakfast and, as it got the sun in the evenings, was a nice place to relax. It also had a clothes line for drying. The large, comfortable bed coupled with the shutters on the windows and balcony doors that blocked the light made for a sound nights sleep. Though we did not avail of it, the kitchenette was well equipped with the facilities needed to prepare small meals. The bathroom was small but had everything you could need, including a compact washing machine. The AC was powerful and effective and the ability to turn on quiet mode and turn off the units light meant it did not disturb sleep. The Wi-Fi was strong and free. A safe, extra bed clothes, shower gel, shampoo, towels, utensils, and maps were all provided. The location of the property was unbeatable and the apartment is very secure and quiet. Located in the largely pedestrian Old Town of Rethymnon, off one of the main streets made the property both private and central. There is a small supermarket 30 seconds walk away, the beach is max 5 minutes walk away, and the centre of the Old Town is 3 minutes away. For the duration of our stay we had a car rented and despite there being no parking available at the property we found free, on-street parking easily available further inland around the more residential area of Rethymnon. This was no more than a 5 minute walk from the property. The hosts made the whole process very smooth with appropriate contact through the Booking.com messaging service. Both check-in and check-out were painless and they were on hand to speedily answer any questions we had. All in all Villa Dena was the perfect property for a couples stay in Rethymnon.

I would like to preface the following caveats with the fact that none of them negatively impacted our stay. The shower/bath is small which is to be expected in such a compact bathroom however the lack of a shower curtain made the bathroom slippery after a shower. The property was spotlessly clean apart from one or two squished mosquitos on the walls from previous guests. The property could use a second power outlet on the wardrobe side of the bed as the socket there is taken by a lamp and the Wi-Fi router.

This small apartment had everything you could need. Small oven and hob for cooking. Bathroom had a small bath which me and my wife had a good laugh at and a washing machine. Air con in bedroom and WiFi. I couldn't find anything to say bad about my stay. Would go again.

There was nothing to dislike. Location was great. The room was very good. 5 minutes to beach and right in the middle of the old town. Loved it.
