Olympia Traditional Houses

I stayed in the Olympia Traditional Houses for a few nights while excavating nearby. It was perfect for access to Idalion/Dali in under 10 minutes by car and the houses are very charming. My room was a lovely studio apartment, upstairs, furnished with traditional things and a canopy bed, which I adored. Lots of lace and dark wood. It had a small kitchen, which I only used a little, and a living room/sitting area with a small dining table. The bathroom was nothing fancy, but served its purpose. I saw almost no one during my stay and never met the owner, since I got the key from a lock box, per his instructions. I wanted to stay longer, but the room booked up before I could extend my stay. The village is small and I walked around it with my dog in the evenings. It was nice to have air conditioning in the bedroom at night. When I left, I forgot a facewash in the shower, and the owner got it back for me and put it in a hiding spot for me to collect. Very kind.

I only wish I could have stayed longer!

Men, it is just cold. It is winter, blankets are ok, and you can sleep. Owner is very helpful, and provided blankets, hairdryer etc. But, the AC is just not enough to warm up this old stone houses. I am sorry to tell that, but it is absolutely not comfortable in winter.
