location is close to port for ferry
toilet is old (common Italy old town issue), shower water not hot (barely warm), during 3 nights staying there, city had accident to disrupt water supply (hope this was just one incident)

AC works wel!! A lot of older hotels in Italy have questionable AC (it doesn't really keep up with the heat), but at Al Mare which is within an old building the AC was perfect! Bed was comfy, minibar was reasonably priced, everything was just was you'd expect it. And the staff are absolutely amazing, nothing is too much; genuinely the most attentive and genuine people I've ever met in hospitality. Couldn't fault the stay *at all*, and I'm usually quite fussy!
Nothing!
