We are so excited for the 2026 summer season. Boating and swimming has reopened! Western North Carolina has bounced back beautifully from Hurricane Helene, and the lake's serene charm remains. Come experience the natural beauty and tranquility that this area offers. Lake Lure is truly beautiful in every season. Our home, Summer Wind, on Edwards Point, provides space where your family can take full advantage of a peaceful oasis. The town of Lake Lure still has excellent amenities to offer, such as, golfing, hiking trails, 5 restaurants, and a grocery store. Come unwind besides our firepit, play games with the family, and enjoy the beautiful mountain air. Pontoon boat rental is also available!

There are three bedrooms and two-and-a-half baths on the main level and a full size sleeper sofa and twin sleeper sofa with bath on the lower level.
This 1935 lake house is in a spacious, quiet cove with a gently sloping yard to the water. The double slip-covered boat dock with 450 sq. ft. deck has beautiful views of Rumbling Bald Mountain. Drive right up to the back door, plus very few steps to the lake. Great lot.....Great lake home!

We enjoyed our week at this cozy home with great access to the lake. My elderly parents were able to walk to the lake every day enjoying the view from the dock. The deck upstairs was nice and shady on days when it was hot and sunny. We think our dogs enjoyed it the most chasing balls in the water!

The rental was beautiful. and well stocked. Gail was initially good with communication. However, We did notice the stove smelled of gas when we cooked on it. We contacted the owners and they said they had just had it checked a month ago . Said they wouyld try to ghave someone come out the next day. To our knowledge. no one came out. We attempted to use the stive again 2 nights later and the gas smell was worse. We notified the owners and told them it should be checked out before the next renters came up. THey never communicated that they were not able to get anyone out after we told them of the problem.
Also the microwave turn table was dirty and I had to clean it and also the dishwasher had dishes in it when we arrived. We were not sure if they were clean or not so we ran it again.
Had it not been for the lack of communication with the gas smell, I would have given this place 5 stars. Irt really is a nice place.
