We offer two LAKE EXPERIENCES -
1/ Lake Lure PRVATE DOCK - offsite from house, and a quick 3 min. drive or 15 min walk (note, no sidewalk). Boat/kayak rentals can be delivered to the dock for day-use (ask about multi-day rentals).
2/ Private Community LAKES & BEACH - 8 min. drive. Two quiet lakes with a sandy beach, picnic pavilion, grills, calm waters for paddling, and even a short trail leading to a small waterfall. It’s an easygoing, scenic area to enjoy nature at a slower pace.

— THINGS TO KNOW —
Check-in is at 4:00 PM. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. Wildview Retreat is self check-in and self check-out.

CLEANLINESS: We prepare an exceptionally clean home for every visit! Wildview Retreat is cleaned, sanitized, and restocked before/after every guest. Please respect our space, treat it as you would your home, and keep it clean! Our team is dedicated to providing a clean space for our guests and very much hope you enjoy it. Any non-standard cleaning will result in an additional charge.

MONITORING: To protect our guests and the house, Wildview Retreat has a camera installed at the front door ONLY. We do NOT spy on our guests. Recording is motion activated and only captures activity outside the front door. No cameras or monitoring devices exist inside the property. Content is not shared with third parties unless required by insurance or law.

INSURANCE: Due to the nature of living in an unpredictable world, we highly recommend you invest in travel insurance to protect yourself in any case of unforeseen circumstances. We strictly abide by our cancellation policy if you decide to cancel. If you are interested in travel insurance, two possible options may include InsureMyTrip and Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection. We do not have any affiliation or specific recommendation for these vendors.

NATURE: Please be aware Lake Lure is in the foothills of the mountains and as such there may be some unique natural experiences, including friendly lady bugs (sometimes coming inside to say hi) or bear sightings.

RENTAL AGREEMENT: Once you book the property, you will get a prompt to sign our rental agreement which overs the above rules in more details and also covers common sense rules, such as following applicable pet rules, being responsible for yourself, children and guests around water, fire, grills etc. It takes 3 minutes to read and sign and if you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Katherine.

Other things to note
Guest Limit: The number of guests must be confirmed at the time of booking. No additional guests over max occupancy may be on property at any time without prior approval. Any guests beyond the listed max occupancy incur a $50 per person, per night fee.

Pet Policy: We welcome dogs with prior approval (sorry no cats allowed). Please ensure they stay off the furniture and beds. Please make sure that you clean up after them. Only the pets listed on your reservation are allowed. If additional pets are found, a $350 fee will be charged.

Age Requirements: We require a minimum age of 21 years old to place a reservation with us.
