Holiday Home Villa Buena Vida by Interhome

We previously stayed at the same property two years ago and absolutely loved the location and the short walk from the villa into Denia. We also loved the space the property allows both indoors and outdoors as this accommodated our group perfectly.

Having visited previously, there were a few things that had seemed to have remained the same since our previous visit (e.g. quite a few tiles missing from the swimming pool and an outside light by the swimming pool that wasn’t functioning). In addition, the quality of the towels for showering provided by Interhome were quite rough and not of a very good quality for the price paid for rental in August. This had been something we had remembered from a previous visit, so brought our own showering towels this time. In terms of cleanliness, there were a couple of things that weren’t up to standard. For example in the downstairs bedroom, on opening one of the bottom drawer units to store clothes there were small corners of dust and dirt so we did not feel inclined to store our clothes in there. Also, in the en-suite to the downstairs bedroom, we noticed mould underneath the rim of the toilet, so purchased bleach to clean this as my youngest child (a 2 year old) would not use this toilet until we had done so. A small thing, but something that we would not have to expect to do on arrival to the villa. Also, on arrival some of the furniture in the lounge area had small stains and marks on, dirt/dust underneath the cushions, so just needed a bit of a clean/updating. Finally, additional information about appliance usage would be useful as during our stay we experienced a power cut. The technician visited swiftly, but we were told it was because of multiple appliances e.g oven and hob being on at the same time as the air conditioning. So, from that point on we had to turn the AC off to use appliances (this was not something that had happened on our previous stay), but additional information about would have been useful this time to avoid the power issue.

Very quiet location and a great pool. Plenty of bathroom facilities and close to 2 very good supermarkets.

Lovely villa, spacious, clean, plenty of crockery and cooking equipment. Great air con. Great pool. 2 supermarkets very close by.

The villa is further from the main restaurants in the port than we anticipated. This would not have been a problem if taxis had been available. Denia seems to have a transport problem, lack of taxis and buses. We booked taxis in advance online and they cancelled. Waiters tried to ring us taxis to get home and and still no taxi after an hours wait. No taxis in the allocated stands.
